Want to know more about me?

I’m the former Deputy Editor of Well+Good, and have held other digital roles for The Nest/The Knot, Latina magazine, and Marie Claire. My editorial experience runs the gamut—I've written everything from budgeting guides to political op-eds to stories on the origins of highly-divisive cocktails. (I see you, kalimotxo.)

I've talked astrology with Kate Hudson, porn with Khloe Kardashian and Rashida Jones, and got the low-down on Chrissy Teigen's hatred of turkey. Venus Williams and I talked equal pay, Tracee Ellis Ross and I discussed diversity in writing rooms, and Gigi Hadid and I chatted about Legos for far too long, to be honest. (She then tweeted me the sweetest response.)

I've edited pretty much everything on the spectrum—home decor to relationships and sex to mental health features. I've organized and ran annual beauty awards, styled shoots, and built cross-platform packages. I've pitched and executed long-running franchises and lucrative branded content ideas. I’ve honed audience, content, and commerce strategy—simultaneously. I can talk lifestyle or trade about wines and write a step-by-step tutorial on how to hang drywall. I've been called a CMS whisperer, several times. Code does not scare me.

I abide by the journalism ethos of always being curious. It's what got me here. It's how I make sense of this world—and help readers to do that, too.

I was brought up by two Southern-raised parents in a Midwestern town, and I am a proud Latina, which means I'm fluent in "Yes, ma'am," "ope," and Spanish. (Just kidding about that last one—conversational? Sorry, mi gente.) I reside in Los Angeles now (after more than a decade in NYC) and wherever my travels take me. Let's talk stories in all formats.
